Whitey, if you have any questions on how it will work a second time, just have the face resurfaced and be done with it. If it isn't cracked, reuse it. I do. I just surface the face and use "Victor" exhaust gaskets. No leaks, especially over Felpro. Felpro doesn't like cold weather. lol

I do actually have a mount I got the the One-Fiddy.... I assume the Expy uses the same mount (both are 4R70W's).
Yea, I got lucky on the 98. The damper plate for Y that sits just above the mount broke/ split and bent upwards vs taking out my manifold bolts.

I think I've said this before... but it's strange how motor families like certain gaskets. Small Block's only like Fel Pro header gaskets.

There's also an easy way to tell if the mount is going. If you look at the damper connect at the Y, you can see if it's twisting to the right. As it twists to the right, it's putting more pressure on the passenger side rear exhaust manifold. That pressure compounded by more vibration snaps rear studs.

Well that took the wind outta my sails apparently every highboy ever with these rims didnt have a closed knuckle dana44... I guess every older Highboy had an axle swap? Idk how else they did it lol. Oh well if I can find a newer dana44 or dana60 I will swap it in. I wanted discs anyway lol
