I still haven't heard from the guy with the truck, as he is at work. Maybe tonight or whenever. Maybe he didn't like my offer, but did last night. Hmmm.

There's a few close to home. Strip one, - back of the Depot...Novi. When you see the flare, it's time to scoot to the backup strip, = Beck/ btwn 10m and GRiver. That ones good until you hear the old farmer on the corner rifling off an old 44/40. Dam good shot, - usually fires high. On occasion pics off antennas. If you listen close you can hear that fart LHAO between shots. Has an unmistakable laugh and enormous respect.
Good old days.

It seems to me that if you are repeatedly destroying a vehicle driveline in your daily usage, then you need a bigger/stronger vehicle.
A half ton pick up is just that, vehicle engineered to carry 1000 lbs. in usual and normal circumstances, day in and day out, for the expected life of the vehicle. Towing capacity is a different spec.- generally because what you are pulling is supported by a bearing surface(s). There is a very good reason the manufacturers build larger trucks- to carry and pull heavier loads. Do we/ can we overload our trucks?, sure, but it wont hold up if its done repeatedly.
One has to use some common sense, or the lessons learned can be expensive.if you want a pulling truck or race truck, then you will generally have to depart from stock parts and use purpose built parts designed for use above and beyond the manufacturers engineered specs.
Sorry for the soap box, but ive seen too many vehicles misused and abused just to have them declared "junk" by the abuser. Just my opinion, Regards,Bear

RC...It's costing my daughter $2200 for her Nissan Rouge from Anchorage to Atlanta GA. I would guess about close to the same. Maybe a bit less. Why would you even consider something like that? Isn't there any good trucks in Michigan, or is rust a big problem there? We don't use salt per se, we use a liquid and sand. No more rust. We used to have major rot, until they switch to the liquids.
That's it for my post quota for the day, good luck with the purchase AK.
