My daughter does something similar once in awhile.... has her own Elderberry syrup concoction. She'll make a batch, run an add, store it in antique pantry/hutch deal on the porch, sell out in about 3 or 4 days. Something she likes to do every now and again, just sells it local though, goes quick...good stuff!
Well isn't that lovely... my Dad had prostate cancer, so I'm probably in for a treat too, Bill.
So YOU at 45 get that checked thoroughly. DNA also will tell if you have that "Marker." Your girls need to remember so they tell any boy children. There, they might have escaped that DNA strand. If not and they wait until 55, it can metastasize (go mobile in tbe body,) and you get 5-10 more, maybe.
My surgery went fine. I'll have a pee bag to wear for a week, but going out to lunch in a few. My urologist is also a robotic surgeon and went in through my urethra. Apparently they expand it so you have to be knocked out for the pain that causes.
Sorry to hear about your dad White, hopefully the gene passed your generation.
And congrats lieutenant DJ.....
Can we call you lieutenant "DAN" lol
Supposed to be going to look at an estate sale of a local street rod builder.
Waiting on the phone call, we are supposed to go for a preview today.
Unfortunately, my Mothers side has colon cancer history, and my Fathers side, just this prostate cancer. Well, his Brother died of liver cancer, but he abused that liver quite a bit. STAY SAFE, Phil!
I've been trying to sell a car for my niece. I've discovered that anything less than about 4 grand really brings out the weirdo's.
It was just snowing again, lol. Third time in as many days.
My next project... make that LONG project, will be getting the truck torn down. My two major checkboxes I need filled are the rad support, and getting the new A/C compressor in there. Might put a new water pump in for giggles.
This also may be a lovely time to finally get to my electric fan conversion.

Well, best thing White is don't have kids, esp no boys, LOL ! You are meeting that half way. 🤔🤭 Maybe that will help defeat passing some of that DNA on, but Drs nowadays have newer amazing meds and procedures.
Some colon cancer testing is not even invasive, nowadays, but that may not have tricked down to us peons yet. Livers, with surgically removed parts perhaps, or maybe chemo, can be very survivable as the liver is a regenerable organ. I don't do shots anymore unless I very immediately chase and maybe preceed it with water or a mixer - as the pancreas is sensitive to shots. Mom died of that and was a tee-totaler. Again, that was inoperable in the 90's, but now often is medically and surgically treatable. My cancer pills, Nubequa, 1500$ a month, maybe $10 to me via Anthem Blue Cross, was BRAND new, and overnight was truly night and day improvement for me, after 3 months & a week flat on my back, I could walk around a grocery. Just ADVISE your Dr at your Annual Physical that your DNA probably as this and that. Sound pessimistic and make the LOOK. I felt GREAT, so I did not get annual physical and my Dr was not then advised by the AMA to TELL me clearly of all this stuff. I had NO symptoms, but Stage IV was present. From fine to flat on my back happened literally overnight.
EDIT: Yes, about 1 hr op & 1-2 recovery. To Walgreens for a pain & a antibiotic Rx. (No pain, so the oxycodone will go into some special drawer, then straight to lunch were I had an omlet plus 2 eggs atop my hash browns to catch up on my protein. (That old, 0.8 gm/kg body wt is a MIN, or, 45 women and 55 gms for men, DMR. 1-1.1 is advised.. maybe 25+% more than 55 gms.) Then 20 minutes in GoodWill for venerable old kitchen tools, on Tuesday, Sr Discount day, heh heh. The one bag stays on 5 days so the bladder has no work to do until healed. I assume, back to Chemo #3 soon. MAYbe it's working. The urologist/surgeon Said my 2 cysts were remarkable smaller. And the 2nd Chemo did not put me in my back, as they should not quite do, but which my first one did.
Not all about me, but suma you sounded curious. Wish I heard this when I was 45. Even 55. Or 65. But I was not told. I am one year and maybe a month into this. The inertia of getting this medical ball rolling was initially very slow. I am fortunate to get a robotic/ urinary surgeon and a take no prisoners proactive Jewish oncologist. He has model cars around his office. I will be donating to that cause - Maybe an original-like Cobra... the two seater with no top?
