I don't know that engine, but with the right turbo it could "be a 5.4."

its a wonderful little engine, this is the 2nd one i have had. the power it puts out never ceases to amaze me. 400 TQ out of a little v6 with 2 snails on it. FWIW my old 5.0 made 410 TQ

the 2.7 has the torque curve of a diesel, down low and low revving. Ford hit it out of the park with this one

I always begrudgingly respected the lowly inline 6.
But give me a V8 or any 4. They are made for 4 cycle engines.

When I do searches, I can never find an HP & TORQUE graph for the 2001 5.4, except after someone hopped it up. Really curious. 265 HP at some unknown point on some obscure graph is not enough.
