just tired of all the BS and micro management. For example service made a boo boo and my department got to eat that one. Its almost at the point now if i want to make a change i have to ask permission to do almost anything

dj - I know a service manager here who felt exactly the same way, but he loves what he does, so he moved another dealership and is quite happy there. It sounds like a similar situation for you. I don't think it's the industry. I'd look at that particular place and people running it.

DJ... I'm sorry man. being micro managed really sucks. All I can say is fight back, and show them you can do things on your own. If they can't see it, move on.

Agreed, Brew. I miss some of the dudes chiming in more often. AK in particular...

I think I might modify my design a bit... let me get out my box of crayons (MS Paint).....

The red is what I've already built. I'm thinking it welding some angle iron onto the tube of the tire machine (green arrows), then using U-Bolts to allow me a lot of adjustment. The angle iron will keep it from rotating when I and mounting a tire.
