I was concerned my windows wouldn't roll down by the time I made it to the coffee shop this morning.....really needed that Tim Hortons java. They were froze shut...and plugging the truck in at night doesn't help with that.
Find a couple reptile tank heating pads and slip them into thr window channel and plug them in at night too. They're like the seed warmer mat I give the outdoor mats.
The weather really turned around for us. In a good way. The foot of snow was an inch. It warmed up enough that we got rain on Saturday night instead of snow. Has it changed for you as well, @OhioLariat and @COStruck ?
No, it's still barely above 0 here. The road i would have taken home from my hunt got closed due to avalanches.
CO set a new record for the US, with over 300 avalanches already this season.
Report based on what I understood from local TV news:
jet stream not moving so far south now.
We not gonna freeze to death
if you go outside this weekend you will freeze to death.
make sure to keep heat on in your house so pipes don't freeze
don't use space heaters as you will burn to death then freeze to death.
Accuweather sure looks better now then last week when I looked.

Good idea! getting by with this for now, -
Really help when I run out hand warmers as well. My hands are worst now a days...they take forever to come back once I let them freeze lol. But yea, hand warmers or battery gloves for that IF I can find them.

Had to park the truck outside after getting home. Dropped off that door for the kids and the truck got wasted with salt a slush again. Totally wrong time to be on the road . So yea, everything froze over night. I need to bring the 98 over here...don't have to worry about that one.. and it's always willing...loves this cold shiii....
Now I get to see how well the salt washes off the rhino liner and undercoat...if all that was worth it.
Last week the whole door on my Toyota was completely iced over. I couldn't even see the handle or the keyhole (no keyless entry). So, being the problem solver that I am, I grabbed the nearest heat source.... which happened to be my torch. It was dark out... so I didn't see the damage it'd done until I left work that night. Yep, I'm gonna need to repaint the door handle.
This is the lowest price I've seen on an aftermarket aluminum driveline in a while. I had a 20 dollar off coupon code too.
I gotta say, Brew... my truck thrives in the cold too. The other day when I swapped the Escape for the F150, I didn't even put the truck in 4WD. That topper doesn't weigh "that much".... but it definitely helps it with traction.
One of the only reasons that I don't mind the snow is when I know I get to drive that bad boy. I'll never forget the morning that I drove in a blizzard almost all the way to work in 2WD. I had a UTA bus start to spin out in front of me on the freeway, and that was the day I figured out I could indeed manual shift into 4WD while the truck is moving. Before that, I had come to a stop each time.

Not going for the torch takes discipline...at times loads of it LMAO
