Damn, and I use to think a 390 was impressive in a dent side...

Didn't you say Chad had a 7three project as well?

The (dodge) 360 and the 390 were both truck engines. Valves rotated..NV cops in 62 we're reputed to be able to best any hwy patrol, except theirs, which pulled over Lamborghinis etc, at 200+. I dunno what they had..A Grand Uncle was a small town NV priest who also said mass at some outlying tiny bergs, and got a 390 PI in a Mercury Monterey, sans positraction, cuz Detroit burned out 3, trying it. That 3/4 race did 160.

A cpl bucks for nuts, by and washers for the homebrew bell spring compressor for LS. And I always add a drain to the the pumpkin cover... For easy oil inspection, or 90% changes on a whim, say, temperature related? And the Ford Friction Modifier to soak the slightly cleaned discs in and add to the diff oil. Don't think I came too near $500 even w the axle. Maybe I did...
That $500 was for the rear disc brake kit.

To rebuild this axle would be costly.
I don't want the open 2:73, and even if I did the carrier is scored from the spider gears. (R/P gear set $250)
That means a new carrier, and it would obviously have to be a limited slip. lol ($550 Summit brand)
An install kit is only $100
And fluid.

And ii looks like the race was spinning in the housing, so not sure if that is even usable.

For $455 I am getting a 4:11 posi, and I can always swap the R/P with an install kit for around $350.
My choice would be 3:55 or 3:73, hopefully I can live with the 4:11 as it is a toy and won't see long freeway trips.

Yes he does. He's putting it in Grizzly, his Chevy motor home he bought to make into a tow truck. He just put a cam in it and was saying how impressive it is.

For the tow truck Olympics maybe?

That's in the future isn't it?

Thanks for the video link and the pics, White. It looks like those maintain a pretty decent pattern. I might just give them a try. Still on the fence.

P. S. I have some Auxito bulbs. Decent stuff.

Yes it is. He'll have to really scoot to get it ready for the 2024 event though. Doesn't seem likely right now.

I am impressed with their quality so far. I usually only drive the F150 to work if it snows, but had a chance to take it a couple times this summer - and I really like the pattern. I took the time to aim them as well as I could.... even bought the Lisle tool for doing Ford headlights. I didn't get flashed at all, which is a win. I'd decided that if I was getting negative response from other drivers, I was going to discontinue using them.

White: I bought that Lisle tool years ago. It really makes adjusting the lights easy. I tried a set of LED bulbs a long time ago, and they were horrible. If I put LED's in the headlights, I'll want (need) to try a set in the Hellas, and that would be a PITA.
