Agreed, Brew. I'd rather do a motor swap. Found one down in Vegas for 1500. Not sure I want to tow that sum8!tc4 that far though, but it's probably rust free. Interior was bad though.
Matt posted this photo of all of the invites he sent out.... I see Project Farm on the list. Sweet. I do not see Paul though... weird.
I'm not sure you can body swap that very easily. Frame, T-bars , tanks are different, SCREW vs SCAB. The frame being the major factor.
WHY is that? I have the SCab and remember the torsion bars during the trans upbuild from, BCA(?) when mine went at 280k. (Great shop; Darrin too!)
Hard coming out (the torsion bars) w a young wrench's help. I derusted it prior to replacing it. He bit¢hed when I painted it saying there'd be NO clearance to reinstall. But I wiped the paint away with a rag, leaving only what remained in the rust pits, greased it, again removing most w a rag, cleaned the receiver holes. Went it like liquid snot, to his youthful great joy. My SCab and I will help him move 6 blocks as he expands 415Mechanix in 2 weeks.
Why did adding ~6" to it to make it a SCrew make the front need a suspension change?!?
