My '01 Flareside is copying me, and spreading. The original "own" [EDIT: F'kn spHell-Check,] "OEM" Topper,'s rear(ate-end) window latch wasn't catching on the left side. I thought the lower part to be spreading, and the bolt-clamps not tight enough. WRONG. The tailgate has 1/8+" gap at the bottom to body-side... But at the top of the gate the gap is 3/8" on the right & 1/2 on the left.
If I force it back, it can just spread again. The window stayed latched when I got it. As it has a costly RV pad in the bed, I don't suspect it carried much soil or etc to spread the body. The gate locks well, but I had not been key-locking it in the 4-5, mostly sedentary years which I've had it, until very recently.
Suggestions? Cautions? TIA
Hope all is well with you fellers. It's cold here... and we're supposed to have a "possibility" that it will get colder than a witches tit on Thursday. It really puts a damper on my projects, lol.

I've got a bunch of crap to do in the garage.
I like these; half the size of my small home furnace and smaller than most at just 40,000 btu. I paid half of this ones' $100 I think, 15 yrs ago.
One with localized directionality is nice for after heating the bulk of the air with the above blower. Add a monoxide sensor to the garage, if lacking. Reburnt dioxide can become monoxide.
I just got back inside from plowing. Couldn't do it earlier today and really didn't want to wait until tomorrow. Wow, is it cold!
Polypropylene long johns under snowmobile pants, heated socks, Columbia boots, heated scarf, thermal undershirt, a mid layer, and a Carhartt jacket and gloves. Motorcycle helmet topped it all off. Heck, they're made with a styrofoam shell, so it's just like a reverse cooler for my noggin!
Duncan needs to go out for his evening constitutional. I'll bet that won't take long!
We're in for some real BS.... Because I am in "the benches" and also get the lake effect, I almost always get more snow than predicted in these warnings.
Last night I rotated the two brand new (warrantied) tires on my Wife's Escape to the front. I've gone the battles with tire shops over this logic over and over, and IDGAS what they say, you'll never get my brain to think putting the brand new tires on the rear of a FWD is better for traction.
Why in the world would they advocate for that? I've always been a proponent of the best tires go up front for steering and if there is ever a blowout I want the increased chance for that in the back.
