Thinking
It'll get it's first workout tonight. I actually may have gone with the Husky "quiet" compressor, had HD had them in stock. That's pretty intriguing to me. But, this is mostly just to air/bleed test transmissions.

Those are the larger compressors for the garage though. At least a 60 gallon. 80 gallon are much better as most of those a 2 stage compressors. You can get a 60 with about the same specs...most of big guys don't offer it. 80 gal = two stage, the motors spin much slower and produce much more SCFM. That's the difference that makes them quiet. Oil and much less RPM's.
Let me know when your ready for one white.

More rust proofing today and next week. Just have the bed left. Lot of dead spaces and salt traps under the bed. Ordered bumper parts to straighten that out...almost done with that thing. The rear full wheel liners turned out sweet. Ford should of did that to them factory. It will keep that bed from rusting. Wheel linered, mud flapped with a combination of Rhino liner and touch up. This one better not rust...ever.

Wow , i got a question!
Apologies , this hasn't happened yet.
Husky liners. These are a little heavier than what Ford offer's. Pita to install...they are tight. They cover more than manufacturers version (drop-ins),
so there's little cursing rooting them around a few more obstacles. AFA what's actually needed, Fords would of been fine I expect.

Went with Husky mud flaps all around as well.

Noone can be on their game, ALL the time.

I see they have $60, 90, and 125 sets.
You chose? (They sound ideal, if a tight fit.)

A little better...still noisy. Oil is the only thing that silences those thing. IR at tractor supply sells a Garage Mate. It uses oil (pricey stuff) and sounds like an oversized sewing machine. IR's are still the best value for the buck. It's right there in the middle between the best and worst when purchasing garage compressors. Husky is the worst AFA loud and longevity. Champion is the best...that'll never change. They are quiet and you don't need to filter the moisture. They last 3 lifetimes as well.

Hoping the bigger compressor soon. We've been using a guy that's pulling/installing for us, and he's effed up the last 3. Found more issues tonight I gotta go rectify in the morning (I can go into more detail if wanted). So, it's time to get our own shop and a lift. The shop we want really bad is currently occupied until Jan 1 though.
Ron is a big fan if IR, and he told me again yesterday that's what he wants to get. I think you're right on that, Brew! Best bang for your buck.
EDIT: I've been swapping out receptacles and switches for Ron. He told me a month or two ago that his GFCI was randomly tripping. He asked me to replace that today, and I opened it up to find this.... the hot was actually touching the ground. Kinda weird that the hot is brown wire throughout his house too. Never seen that.... and this musta been one of the first GFCI outlets made. Kinda weird.

I don't see anything touching...looks old though. THAT Brown is industrial, 1 phase of 3 that makes for a 3 phase system. It may be or has been wired for 3 phase in the past. THAT Brown is usually 12 gauge plus.
If it's a smaller gauge stuff, it's usually a switch box or controller. But it would be isolated and you would most likley be aware of this before hand...like say thermostat or sprinkler wiring.

EDIT: 2 wires can be 12 ga down to about 16 ga, see the attachment if it works... But yellows are large. Given the pic, the wire gauge is not v small I think.

well inventory was rough on saturday at the ford dealer
wrote off 8500 dollars of stuff that wasn't there, and found another 10K in stuff that was never put into inventory, just put on the shelf and left there
The one guy there said oh you won't find any discrepancies....I immediately replied saying i found a lot already(I know he does not want me there at all)
