Yep, winter weather is upon us here in the Centennial state. I only have what looks to be 3-4 inches of the white stuff at this point, but others got a little more. Duncan will have a *ball* outside this morning!
EDIT: Correction: six inches. Oh, and it's 11°F.

OR - Make it into a snow machine. 🤔🙄😬🫥
11°F in the *centennial* state? You use metric there, don'cha? -11.7°C.
8" in Sheridan, eh? Lived there. Yeah!!!
About 20 yrs ago the delineation between USDA Zone 10a & 10b (Cold Hardiness Growing Zones,) moved 200 yards here in South San Francisco, elev 175'. We even lost our morning frosts with that extra 5° less-cold. Rhubarb won't go dormant. Ruins it. Now the low-chill sour cherry is getting lazy, too. House supply pipes are exposed and used to freeze up every 10 years, for 15 minutes. Not any more.
In Winnemucca NV, dad taped a trickle charger to under the hood of his "haf-a-V8," 144 cube IH Scout to plug in at night, and put cardboard on his radiator, later bypassing it totally in favor of the cabin heater for his 4AM 40 mi trip to... Getchell, world's largest Placerville gold mine; machinist.
Boss bitched once, "It takes you 5 hrs to weld an earth mover's broken axle. Joe does it in 3!" Dad said, "And you never had one re-break. This is another one of Joe's. From now on, give his all back to him." Done and done. Hell of a shot, too.
Way bigger deer in NV though, lol ! Loved the Chukkar! 4-8000 ft elev. (Made me a 4 min miler, chasing them constantly, thin air. Dang you, Bruce...)
Love ya guys!!! In the correct manner, nach'erly.
