Precision and Moog are both under the Federal Mogul umbrella. My originals lasted over 200,000 miles... I do know that for sure. The driveline shop I use only uses Spicer and Neapco. But good idea, I'll ask Napa.
Hmmm.... this pisses me off. I just looked and the Precision Super Strength 231's that O'Reilly said no longer exist are now rebranded as Moog. That's what I had in there. They gave me 331's as an "upgrade" - but I don't like greasable u-joints. They are weaker.

I think I'll wind up with Spicer 1350's.
Huh. So are you saying they still have non greasable u joints on the market. Are you finding any like that ?
Man, I hate how those meter readers that sneak up on yuh. One just sneaked around bedind the house at the same time I had an itch. Bet that one will have nightmares.
Amazon says they don't fit my 98 150 ? Huh, maybe it's a Aluminum vs Steel driveshaft thing.
Maybe check the part number at another source. I don't trust Amazon too much to know what fits my vehicle, so I always try to find exact part numbers from a parts store. If the same Spicer part number shows up as fitting my vehicle at Autozone or somewhere else, then I trust it at Amazon.
There was a "-X" after the 1350 though, so maybe they have different versions.
Brew the 98 with E40D takes a Spicer 5-178X which is a 1350 series joint, and the 4R70W takes a 5-213X, a 1330 series joint. Everything is heavier on the 5.4 E40D set up. Both of those numbers are for the greaseable units.
