Reminds me of my old Vette.

Mine was a 92 LT1 6-speed 24k original miles.

It had driven 2,300 miles a yr. from 92-02 and then parked in a heated garage for 15 yrs.
I got it in 2017 went thru everything and cleaned and detailed it.
But only drove it 900 miles in 2yrs., and sold it in 2019 with less then 25,000 miles.

Local car show down the road from me.

The week of the Woodward dream Cruise.

And my buddy's "62" CRC Vette.

Hell, I'm not too sure. I don't remember the intake looking like what I remember the TPI intakes looking like. But that doesn't mean it's not. We only had the Corvette engine cover off on the drivers side, and I was on the passenger side.... so maybe I just didn't have a good view.

I was amazed at how small the charge wire is on that thing. It's listed as a 140A alternator, and I swear it's only 12 or 10 gauge wire.

So apparently complaining does sometimes pay off...I pitched a fit when the company who makes my headers said that it was out of warranty after the egr fitting broke off. Moved on and forgot about it...had the header welded by a local shop, but it cracked again causing a small EGR leak that I hadn't had a chance to deal with yet until I got an email last week from the company saying they were sending me a whole new set (in exchange for removing my negative review of course...I went from 1* to 3*).

So now I have 1 3/4 sets of headers for my truck. I'm gonna pull off the one from the truck with the cracked egr bung and put the good one one...happy me.

Anyone want a set of 4.6l headers with a crack in the egr bung? Otherwise they're pretty brand spanking, less than a year old and stainless...if you can weld stainless it'd be an easy fix and you'll essentially have a new set. Fifty bucks plus shipping, lol

Only caveat is that I'd recommend reinforcing the egr tube because this is what it looks like out of the box:

I found some 1 1/8" stainless at metal supermarkets that slips right over the smaller pipe and the OD is close to the bung size as well...

I finally remade the passenger side door panel for Frankie on Friday. I like this version MUCH better than the original. It's far more robust. Ford leaves the highlighted piece out for some reason. The repro's at LMR are identical to the original.

I'm glad you posted that center console pic, I might need it. He tore it apart a couple years ago to have someone repaint some pieces on it.... and he can't remember exactly how it all went. I do know that his has a Corvette emblem right here (circled) that we are waiting on. Also, he wants to just order a new screw kit for it, because he thinks the screws went with it for paint (the guy went out of business, and the parts are gone). I am also going to replace the caps on his rear Bose speakers.... that's another very strange design to me. Why would you put an amp on each speaker assembly?

EDIT: His has the chrome wheels.... I think they are called anniversary wheels? It has Firestone Firehawk's on it now.

EDIT 2: Maybe they aren't anniversary. My Uncles has those on it.... these are on my Buddy's:

One time we went camping out to a place called White Rock. It was still snowing and quite cold out. On the way up there, my friend at something that didn't really agree with his tummy. He went and found a tree to lean against and relieve his tummy of said disagreeance. Well... my other Buddy had brought up his two Huskies with us. We were all standing around the campfire, and the dogs came upon us after a couple of minutes.... next thing I know, I ask my Buddy "damn, did you forget to wipe?". He said yes I wiped - what do you think happened to my sleeve (pointing to his missing sleeve on this coat). I looked over at my Buddy's two Huskie's, and they were COVERED in you know what. That was brutal.... Luckily, he had driven by himself with his dogs, lol.

Ehhhh.... kind of a sad day today. Looks like my great friend that does transmissions is going to be moving to VA. Who knows... maybe I'll end up back yonder too. I'm not a fan of the way the cost of living to income ratio is going around here.
