Will the bumper move up? I've never touched it. Looks the same as the original grille did on the gap. This pic is an oldie.... from 2014!

EDIT: Easier to compare if I add this here...

Yea, that's as tight as I could get it. As high as the bumper will go. Could mod the holes/ brackets to go higher..but I didn't go that far....satisfied.

My core support is in rough shape is all I meant by that. It needs to be replaced something fierce. Last time I called Certifit they were out of them.

I noticed the 98's was shot a year or so back. Truck was used a few weeks at least this past winter..no problems. Guess it doesn't need one.

LOL... you don't know how tempting it is for me to weld some square tube on the support and make a new mount right in front of it. There's room up there.

I'm at a point now where I don't know if I will restore some things on it, or just makeshift here and there until it's dead. It still runs strong as hell, so restore is what I prefer. But I also (knowing myself) don't want to go overboard fixing things that don't really matter, LOL.

EDIT: I really want a SCREW... so that's another reason I'm kicking the ideas around in my head.

Kind of in the same predicament, but you have much more truck left than I.
