For the past couple of weeks, I've been thinking about whether I want to continue my off-road build plans for my truck, or now that it appears that hunting is going to play a much smaller role in my future than I'd hoped, if I should just buy an SUV/offroader instead.
Buy a Geo tracker and put 50" tires on it...
Look that one's for sale...

That's neat stuff too, sort of like a overlanding build maybe. There's was someone into that here, thought it was Wolvee at one time ? Maybe not.
When it's not the destination, it's the adventure.
That and also install it before installing the header. You can install in after but you bend it in the process...in places that will hamper seating in the block hole.
It actually routes between the header flange and the #5 pipe, so you can't install it beforehand. Ran into that problem the first time. Shorty headers...
Used a metal trim tool to hook onto it and pulled it down into place...seated well this time after the sanding...
I also painted it with engine enamel...don't think it'll stop the heat of the headers, but hey, why not?

So I put in the crown performance hoses in this afternoon. They look good, but I'm trying to figure out what to do with regards to bracketry. I air chiseled the old lines out of the brackets, and they're close, but just a bit off for the new lines to mount up to...probably gonna have to weld tabs onto them for the plates to hard mount to. As you can see I definitely need to put new hard lines on my list for next year, but the crown hoses did a good job of lining up.
Probably not the best thing to get muddy before brake work, lol

The 5four is wider engine at the top, must make all the difference.
That's pretty rad... thanks for posting that, Brew!
Too much rotten luck in the 150 series. They figured she had a 80% chance of being crashed out every race. Wasn't her fault, she got hit or in the mix.
