So,
Work thing.
Me and another person noticed that a certain person neither of us particularity like is on vacation and left on Friday without locking their work desktop.
Bad thing to do. Especially since he self proclaims that he ain't too good with computers.
We hatched a long joke.
I found the pic that he is using for the desktop and put it in a file. I copied it until I had 1024 copies of it.
I went online and found some (6) weird pics. Nothing super bad. Things like two very large ladies in bikinis touching each other, Four llamas have a group sex thing, closeup pics of some very bad dental infection / rot / possible gangrene, etc.
I changed the desktop setting to show pics from that folder rather than the static pic.
It worked. Most of the time it shows the same pic he had but every once in a while it shows a gross pic for about 5 minutes.
5 minutes seemed too long though. The lowest time setting was 1 min and that also seemed too long.
After careful review and thought, if we left it at 1 minute he may see the pic and have time to baboon howl to someone to come and see. We wanted it to change before anyone could get there.
I asked our IT person (who I know won't rat me out) if that could be changed. He asked me why. Now he is a co-conspirator. Seems 15 sec can be added to the menu in powershell.
Now we wait. Probably months as it will only happen when he has the desktop showing, not when using anything.
Another thing I like to do is take a screenshot of his entire desktop with all the shortcuts on it, then hide all those shortcuts and set the screenshot as the desktop picture. When he looks at it, all the shortcuts looks the same but nothing from the desktop works.

That's a good one.... haven't done that one in a while. Might need to do that to my kids.
My next door neighbor and I were texting back and forth about building one all morning. By the time I got home, he'd already built it. He used this extension in the link below, some PVC pipe, and a sheet of duct metal. He told me to just use his, so we did. Turns out that furnace flue had made it's own little cubby hole in the middle of the snow, and was in no anger of plugging. At least some of it came down.

For the past couple of weeks, I've been thinking about whether I want to continue my off-road build plans for my truck, or now that it appears that hunting is going to play a much smaller role in my future than I'd hoped, if I should just buy an SUV/offroader instead.
