The fuel pump job was way easier to take off the bed (if you can find a helper for a couple minutes).
Three filler screws, six bed bolts, one wire connector, lift bed up rear first, when clear bumper pick up rest and set somewhere.
Much quicker and can mess with everything in the frame easy peasy.

Already done...when you can change the flap drive gearbox on a C-130, you can pretty much do anything...
Today was a "details" day. The upper and lower are together, fuel injectors and rails installed, TB and IAC cleaned and bolted to the elbow with the EGR, and the plug gaps are verified. I also went through the jar of hardware I saved when I disassembled the '99 because the screws that work on the plastic intake won't on the metal one. I even found all the old coil hold-down bolts.

After some work with brass brushes manually and with the Dremel, things were vacuumed and blown off then got a coat of self-etching primer followed by Duplicolor engine paint in Cast Coat Aluminum flavor.
