Great decor, Ohio! Thanks for sharing. Mine is weak sauce this year. I'm too lazy to get the ladder out.... or maybe I just hate getting on the roof.

USPS finally showed up today.... and.... the new microphone is "okay". Maybe I need to dink around with the settings. I'm about to get a Sony camera though. I'm not really fond of the GoPro so far. I also don't think the video quality is all that good either. I honestly think my old Galaxy S3 shot better video. My S7 and S10 both slay it.

Well finally I got Advamce Auto Parts to honor their order. Back at the end of November, I tried to order a lower front valance for Red, but I ran into freight, tax and other complications, then to have a lady say they had none in stock (I chk'd and they had 6 in WA state). Anyways to make a long story short, I didn't buy it then. Yesterday, I got a hair up my butt and tired again. Yep same problem. I said the hell with it and ordered it and paid the 22 bucks frt for it. I figure that after I get it here, then I will go back for the freight refund (free shipping over 35). Even if I don't get the refund, I'll only have 70 in a new frt valance. Much cheaper than I can buy it locally otherwise.

That is where I am now. My question is, has anyone painted the front lower valance to match the body colors? I know the Lightnings are matched but those are different fascias, but the stock is usually either gray/black or beige on the KR;s. Looking for a couple pics of the front valance paint matched. Anyone have some pics? Red?

Here are a couple pics I found, AK.

I don't know why they painted the plate bracket.

I didn't notice that, specifically, but *something* was bugging me. They also painted the "air dam" piece which, in my opinion should be black regardless. It looks like a Maaco job: If it ain't taped or ain't removed, it gets sprayed. He's probably lucky the fog lights aren't red, too.

The emblem, OTOH, looks like an aftermarket sticker.

right, I’m a fan of the grille surround being color matched but not the bumper at all. I have yet to see one that I like that has color matched bumpers. Nor the solid black bumpers. That is for our gen of trucks. I’ve seen some newer f-250 superduty king ranch that have them and they are quite tasteful. And those look good. But none of our trucks IMO.

I like the way the color matches in, but as was said, the bottom air dam maybe in black would set it off a bit more. The air dam is why I'm swapping out the valance. Mine was broken and I used a steel strip across the bottom to support it. Works great, but not quite right. LOL, I don't mind spending $48 for a new valance.

Since I'm going with a medium grey lower stripe this summer when I do the paint, I think that it would paint it to match the grey. I would have to repaint the upper bumper cover also to complete the color coordination.

I often considered painting the valence on my '99 to match the "Lariat-silver" lowers. I don't know, though, if just a stripe would carry through. I think I'd PTM, but not go crazy coating everything that didn't move like was done above.
