It's actually leaking oil and leaving a mess from the engine.
The rear is nasty but not dripping anything on the ground.
I don't feel like working under it on my back, so I might take it up to the shop I used to work at.
I have a feeling he will rent me the hoist for the day and let me wrench on it there.
Nice, that's actually a way I've considered doing some under body looking at the Olds but I'd have to use my cellphone and haven't risked it. Sounds good though.
I dunno - sounds like it is dieseling... 😬😉
Interesting idea though, to 'cam the under'ings.
Only my driveline is done, (when I had to have it on stands and let the new rear end and axle bearings pre-lube, I got under w a battery-wire brush, and paint,) & pumpkin cover, w new drain.
Actually, I started last evening. I made a fair amount of headway.
BEFORE
PROGRESS
THE TOOL
I won't be using the back blade to finish things out, as I'm completely inexperienced and am afraid I'd make things worse instead of better. Instead, I'll move the rest of this up the hill, then get the DR Power Grader back out to smooth things out and wait until my "pro" comes to do it up right (unless it turns out well with the DR, then I might just leave it be).
EDIT: Anyone know if there's any reason I couldn't/shouldn't empty one of my gas cans to haul diesel fuel? I want to return the tractor with a full tank (and actually might need some to keep going this evening).
Nice little tractor , that'll get it done. Doubt you'll use blade on the back much, the is bucket quicker for smoothing it ounce the material is back where it's supposed to be.. Looks like 20 yrds or so washed down to the bottom....damn, got do something about that.
Yellow can Red can, no, not a big deal. The cans aren't any different material wise. The only danger is getting caught filling it, you may end up in the klink...
Nah, I've heard it's illegal in the past, but you'll be alright...wear a hoody.
I actually turned my resume over to a professional yesterday. I've been told it's confusing the fact that I list the "same employer since 1995, but have two completely unrelated jobs listed for that employer". Fact is, it's true though. So, a friend of mine offered to fix it up for me. He's a pro resume guy, and I just found out a couple days ago. LOL.
Well, that just means there's better on the horizon.

I am going to talk with the professional resume guy tonight. Unfortunately, there were two jobs closing with the State yesterday. So, I tried my hand (again) at making it better. Hopefully one of those pans out. I think it's four 10's and State retirement.
This popped up in my FB feed. Can't believe it's been 23 years already!

Or blue for red aggy diesel...
Go to a pump the does gas AND diesel.
You can claim a brain fart.

So mission accomplished..how did iturn out ?
Not much to do about the potential for washout except pray we don't get downpours like we did. Excavating ditches on both sides with the rock patches to slow the water would cost a bundle and look like kaka. Then, there's no place for it to go at the bottom without putting in culvert$, etc.
Filled the red can with 5 gallons, and when I got done, that filled the tank to the top, just below the filler. Couldn't have been much more perfect.
It's still pretty rough, as trying to smooth things out by dragging the bucket only works so well in the confined area of the driveway. (Dirt is higher on both sides in many places.) I'm also no pro, so I didn't even attempt to use the blade. The ATV was up on stands for a rear axel seal replacement (and yes, I cussed a bit when the thing kept popping out one side then the other, then really swore when the seal driver I "rented" tore the outside lip in one spot. Hopefully it'll hold oil.) I also changed the other diff and engine oils, and pulled the front bumper because the winch had torn the winch mounting tabs. Had that welded, and it's awaiting paint now. I was going to start dragging the drive last night, but the %$#& wireless receiver on the DR crapped out and would only go "up," so I re-connected a manual override switch I'd wired in previously, and will get on that tonight. In the meantime, I found out that DR no longer provides the wireless receivers, but a "wired-controller upgrade kit" is available for $300. No thanks. I'll either get off the ATV to raise and lower the thing or cobble up a remote winch kit to replace the factory remote system. (I wonder how much current those can handle without the need for added relays.)
On a lighter note, I made up some Sloppy Joe last evening and had Coney Dogs with onion and mustard for lunch. Had some Voodo chips, too, and washed it all down with a Dr. Pepper. Man it felt good to eat bad!
EDIT: Forgot to mention: I saw the UPS guy today, and he said he got stuck in all that washout material. It was pretty fine stuff and wet, so I'm not surprised. Didn't ask him how he got out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
