Duncan and I got back from a couple mile walk about 30 minutes ago. Started out at about 48° wearing long pants and a long-sleeve T. By the time we finished I was wishing I'd worn short both. Back in Ohio I would never have even considered shorts in this weather. (The sun being about three feet away up here plays a big part in that.)

EDIT: The weather forecast says we're expecting a high of 81° today. That's warm for up here. The conditions above were a half hour ago. This is now. Things warm up quickly around here. Will be closing the windows shortly.

Houston humidity is next-level. Water literally runs down the windows on every building w/AC (which is all of them).

New neighbors bought the place down the road for a part-time getaway (and they're doing a wonderful job sprucing it up). I sent him a text this AM letting him know about Thursday's T-storms and hail, that their place looked OK, and a pic of their mildly-eroded driveway. He asked if there was any damage here, and I sent a note back with pics of mine. Below was his reply. I've talked to them only two or three times so far (!). Nice folks.

Still pretty high for humidity. I've been looking at a lot of pics from SLC where they had some flooding.
