I use 1500, then 2000. WET though, not dry. Then buff. Soak your sand paper for 5 or so minutes beforehand.... And, I personally like the 3M stuff that specifically mentions wet sanding on it.

EDIT: Probably won't do a damn bit of good, but I'm going to appeal my property taxes. Buttholes think I want to come up with another 800 per year in taxes. Eff that.

White,
Thanks for the info and I appealed my assessment once and it helped a bit.
The second time I tried it they said no unless I got a 3rd party appraisal done.

Good luck,it worked for me once.

I did not go to the town hall last night because I had prior obligations. But, it was recorded, and I watched part of it this morning. People are unhappy. A construction guy got up and said this is the absolute worst time to build. Everyone knows we're going to crash, so why not wait to build? I don't know if I mentioned this before, but they valued my home at $141,000 more than last year.

I will try and go on on the 9th though.

Out of a can?

Amazon Amazon

Otherwise, I haven't used it yet, but I've read the Upol stuff I got is the best bang for the buck. You'll have to decide on which hardener you want though. I bought the medium.

Amazon Amazon

First one looks like what I want.
It's just an old truck I want to make shinier and protect it a bit better.
Thanks.

It rained like hell here this evening. Hail, too. Tore the crap out of the driveway (again).

Oh, and a pox and a hex on the brainiac that designed my garage without a drain and on the guy who poured the floor with slopes to the outside instead of the center front.

That's terrible. Think I mentioned this before, I've used check dams for soil and erosion control in the past with great success. Some shots of what I'm referring too, -

It works.

At least the driveway is crowned correctly....could be worse. It wouldn't take much for dozer, since ground level on both sides are at a good elevation to start with. A little shaping, throw damns down every 30- 50 ft. There's also geotech fabric you can run down the center of the low points.

Seems like it would suck fixing that back up all the time.

Get a guy with a small excavating businesses to come out with a little D4 dozer and shape and swale both sides of the drive, roll some erosion fabric out where the water collects and free boards, place stone/rock check dams every so many feet. You may be able to rent a dozer and do it yourself.
