Had an exciting night last night.
Was working on the Vette and heard an SUV rolling by on flat tires.
Went out to get a look and it was driving down the middle of the road @ 5-10 mph swerving all over the place.
Had both driver side tires flat, and the front corner crunched with the marker light dangling.
I assumed since it was 3 am they were probably drunk, so I gave the local PD a call.
They manage to get her stopped about 2 miles north, and she was carrying a gun and violating her CPL.
They also found a 2nd gun not registered to her and are checking to see if it is stolen.
She was arrested, both guns entered into evidence and her vehicle towed and impounded.

I can only imagine how much cheaper Uber/Lyft would have been !

I had back surgery in 2016. Man was that a life changer. I'm so glad I did that! My SIL had the same thing done on Saturday. She called my Wife yesterday and told her how much better she feels.

Back surgery has come a long way! Don't let 'em fuse you, Phil.

I'm down 21 lbs. since my surgery in May. No chips for me but those awful baked things. Pants are starting to become a problem.

Not sure what they will do, I had an MRI in the fall of 2019 and they sent me to follow up with a neurosurgeon.
He said it was broken and needed to be fused. (L5)
The pieces on the back of the vertebrae are broken off and it has moved out of place.
I have been managing since then, but I know it's inevitable.

A good pic of a healthy spine.

And mine.

The blue lines are where it is supposed to be.
The red arrow is the disc being crushed.

That looks incredibly painful.

Man, that looks painful, Phil. Your image is much clearer than mine is.

Mine blew out in 4 places.... these are the three that I know for sure. There were also several pieces of disc material that had floated down my spinal canal, and they were "choking" my sciatic.

It can be, I am used to it to a certain extent.
It takes me 1/2 the day to get my mobility back after sleeping.
Thats why I am always up so late.
Some days it's really bad, but most days it's livable.
Today is pretty good, thinking of taking the bike up to the parts store.

Surgeon said as long as I can ride that ↑ he won't do surgery.
So, we are at a stalemate. lol

I have a bad back but not like that. I always found the slumped seating position of a standard motorcycle really painful. Oddly, my back preferred the seating position of a sport bike, but those hurt my hands and wrists. In the end, I think the standard wins.

You should try a Honda VFR. It's a happy medium between the two, and the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden (which is everything from a Kawasaki LTD to a GSXr).

Sport bikes do cause wrists to tire if they cannot be rotated that micro-minor degree to get that IDEAL orientation. That, depends on your personal sit-lean and it must adjust to YOU, exactly. Unless you're young, avoid 8-10 hr stints. If you don't ride daily, work up gradually to 2-4 hr rides over a month or 3. Rear sets also affect back posture. Adjust it to it, not you to it. You just get fit. Try not to ride with a 20 lb pack or your shoulders or waste.
