Brew.... Yeah... your pic is where I got thw idea to space it how I did. How high did you raise yours? I got bolts long enough to go another 3/4" if I needed to. I put my Audiobahn 10 in there last night (still too tall to fit under the seat) and it sounded a lot better than these 6 1/2's do. Kinda thinkin I am stuck with these though because my kids sit back there all the time. I'll check that video when I get back home.... and on my Chromebook.

Oh , you seen those pics already lol. Sorry, that I didn't know. I recall posting the vid before, not the pics...oh well lol.

Hell, I don't remember how high, quit a bit, maybe 2.5-3". I made the blocks out of yellow pine (hard pine). Not as nice as your bushings, I like that. Yea, I do remember going higher to get the covers on the speakers lol. Cheapest stereo install I've done. Takes a little time making those boxes right doesn't it lol. I made them form fit over the block out at the back of the cab, then caulked and insulated. Not easy cramming something good under the rear seats is it, I see you found that out lol.

Used a Super tuner and a 4 chnl KW. Had some good door speakers and tweeters back then. Chucked the tweeters and left the door speakers disconnected. The system sounded best hi and low just running the Technics in the rear. Nothing more than old home stereo woofs lol.

But yea, I recall having to keep lifting the rear seat higher and higher. My kids road in the back at the time as well.

LOL! I'm not hurting that bad.

Funny thing about this whole thing. I let my wife drive it for a bit and she absolutely loves it... Enough that she wants me to sell the 2012 FX4. She's never been materialistic, but who knew she would prefer a 2800 dollar car to a 30000 dollar one. Guess I should count my blessings in finding a woman like that instead of complaining lol.

If you sell the FX4 then what will she drive? You are going to use the KIA as a DD to and from work. I don't think she thought that out so well. LOL. It is nice to have a woman who doesn't want to spend the money quicker than it comes in. Keep that lady Drill.

I could see a person riding that "Spree" down the road, wearing a pigs head (Maxwell from Geico?) and change the name from "spree" to "Wheeee".

Yeah... LOL, I thought I'd measured well enough for this box to fit without the seat lift. It's already pretty close to hitting one of the bolts that hang down right now.

I really dig those old Technics systems. My Dad still has one, and that thing rocks. It has two 12's, and those puppies have great sound.... even 30 some odd years later. <tangent> I remember my Dad winning "The Monkees: Greatest Hits" on CD from a radio station as a kid. I remember always pulling that out and analyzing it.. lol. He went and got a CD player just because he won that, and it was a Technics that still works today. He paid over 200 dollars for it, as I recall. </tangent>

Well technically, if I was rid of the 2012, I would be 568 less a month in payments between the truck and insurance. She could then use the Kia and 200 a month in gas wouldn't seem so bad in my 10th gen.

As far as keeping her, I married her almost 2 years ago because of the way she is. She's only 22 but far smarter than any girl I've ever been with. Plus she doesn't mind giving me back rubs, and that right there is the key to my heart lol.

Avoid mentioning the dollar figure, put a polish on the car, hand her the keys, -I got you a new car honey. She'll either treat you even better, or you'll get that look, -the life as you know it is about to end look. like that, but with much more meaning.
