You prolong all of your cooling system by changing the antifreeze proactively.

I need to get to my truck soon. It only has about 15K tops on the fluid, but it's been 5 years. Eeeek.

Ya that will do it...
Even though coolant doesn't have the miles racked up, it surely must deteriorate. Even transmission fluid has to go bad. I might have had 15 000 miles on mine in 8 years before I changed it. Pan magnet was full of shavings.

that is 100% normal. You just don't want it to have big chunks on there
