Hey guys. I just wanted to pop in a share my new work truck. It's a 2019 4x4 STX wt the 5.0, 3.73s, and locking rear diff. I noticed the dealer put the cheapest filter they could buy on so had to change the oil after 2 days of owning it but overall it's everything I need and nothing I don't. I can't lie though I'm pretty proud of this one.
Thank you DJ. Im really liking all the extra power on tap but the 20 mpg avg for the 130 miles ive driven today isnt terrible either.
That honestly is one place the 5.0 really shines. This is my 3rd 5.0 and on long trips it kicks into 4 cylinder mode and you can really see the MPG go up. Not a fan of the cylinder deactivation though(new for 2021)
Best MPG i ever got out of a truck was my old 2019 Ranger, believe it or not on the highway that truck would get 26-27 MPG. I doubt this F150 will touch that but mid 20s seem reasonable. I got that all the time with my 2016 with the 6spd and no cylinder deactivation crap
90% of those 'detergents' are just snake oil. A marketing ploy. Just stick to high quality name brand gas from a fast moving station
"Techron" is one additive proven not to be snake oil.
We don't know the additive's in Shell V power though.
V power has the highest PEA though.
Costco 91 is Ethanol free in Canada and .30 cents cheaper than Shell V power.
It be nice to know what detergents Costco uses in their gas.

I really wasnt expecting it to be that good in this truck. Im not sure how i would feel about the cylinder deactivation feature on the new trucks either though.
