I still want to know what the hell happened to the 6.8L pushrod motor making its way into the Mustang.

Let me check my crystal ball.........
That was from Oct 2020, The sun still shone them, birds sang, The world was going in a good direction.
That all changed on 21 Jan 2021. That's when the fire nation attacked.
With the resulting changes to EPA mileage and emission requirements, that would have killed any plans for cars that would get worse mileage or greater emissions.
The Mustang may get 1 more generation of V8 but will soon have hybrid and turbo 3 and 6 cylinders. Then they will be all electric in the next decade sometime.

Perhaps the fire nation can be defeated and a new era of freedom and prosperity will return, but ...... Who knows when.

We've got to defeat this "all electric" business. Anyone with half a brain can figure out we don't have the infrastructure to handle this.

Talked to a guy last night that just bought a Rivian. The range is 300 miles. That's fine and dandy, but try taking that on a trip.

agreed. for my commute to work every day RT is 10 miles an EV would be just fine, but not for our annual trip down to SC or even to my parents house for that matter

I'm not an electric vehicle fan either but:
Pros:
One would be perfect for my day to day commute and errands.
Electricity is currently cheaper per mile than gas.
Overall maint. is less.

Cons:
I go long distances on my days off that are beyond the reliable range of any current EV. That's why I have a 36 gal tank in my DD.
If the power goes off in a hurricane, what am I supposed to do to get around?
Currently cost way too much and no MFG can be relied on to supply future parts. GM screwed a lot of their EV owners by not supplying replacement batteries.

-------------
Imagine going to battle with electric tanks and planes.
It would be like Peter Tordenskjold.
Hey Vlad, can you spare some electic? No? OK, then please wait while we recharge from the solar panels.
