My spare axle has a 3.55 in it. I have a 31 spline LSD and a 3.73 R&P sitting there doing nothing. That's why I was thinking of switching.... It's definitely seen better days at 25XK miles on it.

Yea that makes sense vs starting from scratch. Wouldn't the yard be able to tell you if they have a 3.73 available ? Should be in their computer. Maybe not, good hunting!

I just bought about 20 to 25 pounds of zinc plated nuts/bolts/washers.... but I'll be a son of a gun if I've found a single one that I can use yet.

With some very minor modification (cutting two tabs), I am going to be able to use the Fel-Pro rubber gaskets for an 85 GT. Still waiting on the Mother's aluminum polish!!!

It's supposed to hit 70 on Saturday! Time to get some work done.

P.S. Can someone talk my Wife and tell her I really need some new upholstery?

Lmao Noob....

Must be a shortage on nuts and bolts... I had to settle for button head stainless. That was the only thing that looked decent that they had 12 of. I got nylon washers because I know that stainless and aluminum aren't the greatest of amigos.

Whitey, did you forget that I have a set of ARP VC bolts here? Tell me what length you need, and I'll check them.

EDIT: Are you sure those Nylon washers won't crush over time and result in a gasket leak? The factory used steel bolts on the Fox covers. Also, did you/will you paint them? If so, then no problema anyway.
