Setting it up right now. Probably going to move this to Windows 11 after I figure out all the details.

Hopefully this is better than my old i5. But that thing is a beast, all things considered.

 

So... it is an i7, 16GB ram, and a 1TB SSHD. 17.1 inch HD screen. Seems to run OK so far.

 

Score! Hope it wasn't stolen. You ask why she was selling or was it a no questions sale lol. That's a lot of computer for 100 bucks.

 

She said because it needs a new battery and she got a new one for Christmas. It does have a battery, but it isn't charging. I'll get one on the way. She said she looked and batteries are 100 dollars.... but Amazon has them for 40ish.

 

Is it in good shape ?

 

Overall, yes. The BD-ROM doesn't work either. I don't use that often enough to be an issue though. I just got done wiping the HD and reloading 10 on it. Why? It had Home and a bunch of preloaded software I didn't want. This is a clean OS only install now.

I was reading a bit about this model, and from what I gather, it has a second bay for a HD. Need to take it apart to verify though.

 

Nice, got rid of the crapware as well ehh. Can you run two monitors with that ? I suppose you could with the right stuff.

 

Yes, it has an HDMI port. I haven't hooked it up yet, but it should work just fine.
