Merry Christmas to all.
When I was a child our Christmas was a bit different than now.
My grandparents were very German. So was my Father even though he was born here.
The day before Christmas was the big day for the kids. Bescherung it was called.
The tree went up first thing in the Morgen. Then sweet honey cinnamon bread for Fruhstuck Then we decorated the tree during the day.
Lots of family arrived. Huge dinner of Wurst and Kartoffel and Kohl that was delicious.
Then we exchanged family presents. Then play and family until bed.
Over night "Sinter Klaus" (when grandparents said it you knew it was a hard K) would leave his presents. Krampus nor the racist dude never showed up. We were very poor yet Santa always found us.
Christmas day was again sweets for Fruhstuck, opening more presents then church (with a playabout Jesus) for a solemn service and choir singing.
After that was fun and family until people started going home. Every year seemed to be at somebody else's home.

I married a Catholic (who doesn't practice it but you can tell she went to church as a child) of English decent and as old people died out the traditions changed.
Between our kids and relatives, still plenty of people coming to my house now, plenty of good food (mostly sweets and chocolate) and we never see this guy:

Wound up with a plasma cutter for Christmas. It's an Amazon box, but I did a lot of research on it beforehand... reading and watching. For the price, and how often it'll get used, it seems like a no brainer. I've watched too many VGG, MORR, and Fab Rats episodes... and I've wanted some "lightning scissors" for a while now.

Looks like I need to do some more wiring in garage now. I ran 220 out there already - but I need to add a couple 110 circuits out there as well.

EDIT: The new version actually comes with a 220V plug on it, and also comes with a 110V adapter.

I'd sure like to see more pics of that motor, LOL. He was asking if that cylinder could be sleeved. That's a "just start over" special.

Adrian.... yeah, a little JB might do it,

Since we didn't put up the tree inside this year (Duncan) , I figured I'd put a few... OK... eleven outside instead.

Ohio, did you get more snow? Showed the misses your handy work, she thought those trees would look really cool with a foot or so of fresh stuff under them . I agree.. Well, already cool, how about exceptionally cool lol.

Hope you guys had a good one, Duncan as well.
