I'm going to need some more soon. Broke 6 out of 10 pack of 7/64" 8% cobalt bits in the last couple weeks... also 3 out of 12 1/8" M42 bits. They stay sharp working with stainless, but brittle as hell.
The standard-style bits are on sale, too. I might have to pick up a set. I have several bits that need sharpening, and for $1 each, being able to swap these in then sharpen the others when convenient would be.... convenient.
The Milwaukee's are the best bits I've used for the money. I also like the Shockwaves because I can stick them in my 1/4" impact and let it rip. I have a bunch that need sharpening too. I have a sharpener kit, but I've never even used it. I bought an upgraded (RoHM) chuck for my DeWalt drill too, which needs to be done.
Well, now I know why 1/8" and smaller bits are hard to find in cobalt and M42. They don't last. I'll go back to HSS or black oxide bits for the smaller bits. Luckily the bits aren't getting stuck when they break, easy to extract.
I use a couple different drill doctor models w/diamond wheels for sharpening on the fly.
I have a n umber that need it (also have a Drill Dr.), and normally flip them upside down in the case to indicate that. Then I need that size, start with a smaller bit, use the dulled one, and put it back in the case normally. Then I cuss when I pull it out later and it's dull.

That's why I purchase M42 quality bits....laziness. You very rarely need to sharpen those...I haven't had to yet. Anything else will dull much too quickly. 1/8" and below, the M42's like to snap on yuh. A lot of hardness there. You have to keep the drill motor perfectly straight and rpms all the way up. I'm breaking a bit every 8 or 10 holes, plus it was 18* degrees outside yesterday....that didn't help. More than half way done, hope I have enough lol.
Just got a message from UPS that the first set of flow tubes that I bought arrived at home. I can't believe it took so long. Guess I have a spare set now.
So, do any of you watch Hoovie's Garage? In the episode he released today, he bought a million mile Cummins. The dealer he bought it from is my friends Brother. Kind of a small world, lol.
