You need a good roaming connection so you can stay in touch! Traveling around is an adventure for sure.
If things go as I'm planning I'll be in the Guadalupe Mountains this winter where even cell phone service is almost non-existent. I'll be north of the border though. I'll stay in touch though. It just won't be often.

I wonder how you're doing all the time... thanks for stopping by and saying hello! I hope you're doing good. Glad to see you're working on a SBF again, BTW!

Going to dinner with my Buddy up the street tonight. The guy with the S197 that is supercharged. Really cool guy.
lol, hadn't touched a SB since the 76' Montego which I sold in early spring.

Many reasons why I wouldn't touch the referenced post but when I saw he had an aftermarket alarm\remote starter I didn't see any real way to be of any help. IIRC Ford specifically stated not to use an aftermarket alarm\remote on the 10th gens?

How's Frankie coming along?

Nice to see you in here, Rivers. Safe travels!

Photobucket sent a "second notice" yesterday that "(My) account is over storage." Yeah? Delete my pictures, then. I don't even remember what all is there, and downloaded them all a few years ago when they were going to start charging. (Of course, I'm not sure where I saved those, now, either.)

So much that they are not using them anymore. He said he'd put a ridge vent up there, which would put a vent across the entire roof, rather than just the 3 spots it is right now. Anyway, he also will increase the current 3 foot ice and water shield to 6 feet.... new metal flashings, and a 50 year shingle for $8400. Or, he could add a second layer and do it for $6500. I'd rather just get it done right and be done with it.

Then we went out to dinner with our friends up the street... spent about 6 hours with them. Really productive day overall... and no Built Bars though, LOL. I need to get some more.
Exactly right on those can vents. Off those and go with ridge vent, - does a much better job. It spans the peak, the highest part of the roof. It's like fresh air ventilation full circle. You have your soffit and baffles on the low side and ridge vent at the peak....intake and exhaust so to speak. With that set up, the roof deck shouldn't mold or rot out within your life time when done properly... House as well.
If your having roof problems and the shingles are curling up on the corners, yea, - a tear off is the best way.
________

I hope your receiving residuals for the Built Bar plug lol

Going over the POs wiring expertise can be daunting. At least it was just tuner/speakers this time.....could be a lot worse lol.

Yea, I take care of that online and through the mail. They require a paper signature, I provide both to help expedite. I don't think it helps much. It's the third time I've done it (every 6 months, that's what they require apparently..vs annually). The forms are the same, different bar code. But man are they slow on their end.

Anyway, good luck with that crap, it's no fun. I even dislike the small stuff when it comes to paperwork. I try to streamline all of that as much as possible.....like say, the mama hand-off. But that doesn't work no more lol.

It's moving right along. Still waiting on my T5 from my Buddy.... he told me he'd bring it by yesterday. Didn't happen. His Wife s having some medical issues though, so I'm trying to not be pushy with him. He told me he'd help me do my gears too. At this point, the 351 is going to be a 2022 project. My Buddy that ordered (back in April) his Fox Body specific Holley setup finally cancelled and got another kit that includes a 4R70W harness. He's running a 6R80 though.

FYI, if you are interested in getting those pics, you can get an extension for Chrome that will go in and pull out all of your Photobucket albums and put them in a folder on your PC. I pulled all of mine and put them in my Google Drive.

They actually aren't curling... at least not bad. You can just see the fibers around the edge. Truth be told, the shingles could could probably fare OK through another winter, but not the vents. He also said he would do above the rooms and garage with the ridge vent. He told me it should help a lot with the A/C keeping the house cool. Also... might switch to black shingles.

As far as the Built Bars.... my friend is actually getting sponsored by them. Hoping to do a collab video with him soon. I'm buying a hatch and maybe a drivers door from him. Maybe other things too. He has two parts cars, so we'll see. He's building a notch, so he needs a lot too.

I've about got the wiring sorted out. I thought I had some 6X8's that I'd ordered for Frankie. Looked all over the damn house, shop, garage.... then my brain asked me if I put them in The Eight Nine. Yep... there they were. So, I just ordered some more. I put some new 3.5" cheapies in the dash yesterday. Left the JBL's in the door for now, because I'm not sure what direction I'm going with the doors. The PO took the OEM covers off the doors, and I'd like to find some and use different speakers when I do that. Need to run a new wire for the future amp. I ran the RCA's and a new remote wire this morning. Routed that to go right down the middle. I need an amp and a box for an 8 inch sub, and I'm set.

Ohhhh... and a deck. That might help too.

That was the best possible scenario I could think of. If it were mine I bet all three would have been bad. That would just be my luck.

The electrical tape was not melted, so I have to assume the initial damage was not amplified by time, but why the hell would anyone tape over heat damage like that when a new cord is only $20? 🙄 (And we're not talking about subsidized housing, here.)
.

Good lord that's a whole different level of cheap. He could have at least thrown some zip ties on there for safety. Lol

Glad to see you around River! I've been wondering what adventures you have been getting into.

https://www.netflix.com/title/80189648

Seen a little of it for the first time yesterday, it's cool as hell lol.

Noticed some you tubers racing their cars in it. I can see you doin this white. I think the Mustangs range from 300 hp (V6) to 800 (V8).

I have not heard of that, actually. We very rarely watched Netflix, so when my debit card expired, I never went back in and fixed it. That's been almost 4 years now. I'll have to check that out though!

Found a Pioneer deck on FBMP last night. Going to go look at it tonight for Frankie.
