The stupid wind blew the door shut while I was painting the blue.... now I have a run in it. Pisses me off... I got it back in the garage now. I think I'm done for the day.

I've had two people stop by already today... didn't know either of them until now. First guy said "I drive by here all the time and wish I still had my Mustangs". Then a lady stopped to tell me that "for a mechanic, I just want to tell you how organized your garage always is... for all of the stuff you have, you do a great job"... 😆

Not sure how to take the second one.

It's a complement. Most "garage types" are slobs.

She's probably also an OCD case.

That's, **** into the wind. Not paint in it. The former, simply washes out. The latter, might not even buff out. Although, both, are basically, sterile. Sorry man.

The more it dries, the less noticeable it is. we'll see.

If it really bothers you, hit it with some 440 and another coat. Easy peasy. Where it is, though, I wouldn't worry about it.

Sitting out here... decided to get the jambs around the hatch done. Whilst prepping it, I heard an abundance of sirens. I looked up, and the mountain is on fire. Soldier canyon I believe is what it looks like... no official word yet.

I wasn't thrilled about the lighter color at first, but it's growing on me.

My new cowl cover arrived today. I opened it up, and well... it looks good, minus some apparent cracks in it. Just fired off an email to LMR with these pics.

That sucks, I hate new stuff that arrives broken.
Most everything I am dealing with is used, so it's somewhat expected.
Putting together a 1961 Corvette for a buddy, he bought it partially disassembled.
Owner died after he started taking it apart to restore it. (30yrs. ago)
Plan is to drive it as is for the summer and show it as "Barn Find" then start the restomod over the winter.
