You can *try* to change it with FORSCAN, but I've not found it possible in the 10th gen.

No wonder people ask me, "How much lift?" The white one is a stock 4x4 I happened to park next to.
It had the silver lowers just like my old one as a matter of fact.

Ohio, White has corrected me about this. There are a slew of sites though stating the 97 had the PSOM (Programmable Speedometer Odometer Module) but I didn't know if that worked with FORSCAN even if he did have the module which he doesn't.

Hopefully someone will have some ideas about this but we have had an extremely windy day and power is out all over the place. I've been running my 30 amp, Yamaha invertor generator but if I don't run the manual choke about half way out it keeps stalling after about 15 minutes. I have no idea if half way with the pull is equal to half choke? Any idea of what might be causing this. The only real maintenance on the generator is oil and air filter and they are fine. The gas for the lawn mower and snow blower could be up to 9 months old and that's what's running the generator. Could old gas be a problem? The lawn mower has been running fine. It's windy as heck out but the air intake is covered by the side of the generator but could wind be stalling it? The generator is in an El of the house so the wind is blowing in every direction there but it's protected there. Any ideas would be appreciated. I don't want to wake up at 3 in the morning, freezing my backside off.

Rivers......going to the 97-98. Forscan can not change the speedometer. It's analog and mechanical. 99 up is digital. Forscan can do the 99 up for that modification. Forscan, can be used for some 97-98 fixes, but I personally have not used it for them.

Yeah, I've since learned this AK. The 96 and earlier with the PSOM could be programmed for wheel size but as I said in my op I didn't know if Forscan would work with a PSOM or what years it works with. Why all these PSOM repair places say the repair the 97, F150 PSOM I can't explain. The 97 didn't have the PSOM. All mechanical like you say. The recent post to Ohio was an acknowledgement of already being corrected over this.

AK, it's been a few years, but tried to find/do this on my '03, and can't seem to do it. (Key's won't program correctly without a full wipe, either, it appears). Do you happen to have the procedure documented?
