Why are you making the change? Body roll? What's the diameter of your sway bar? Is it OEM? Is this front or rear?

If you're concern is power sliding or drifting a half inch can make a world of difference. On a strip or general street driving, probably not.

White, What you call the link is also called the lever arm\link connection. The lever arms are the end of the stabilizer bar. By doubling the lever length you will be make the stabilizer bar (sway bar) 50% less effective. You compensate for this with the size of the stabilizer bar where the torsional stiffness increases with size by the 4th power. A 1" bar has 16 times the torsional strength of a 1\2" bar. The relationship of link length to the cars roll center is what will determine how your suspension is effected. If it gets too stiff or soft which you should feel in the weight bias to the outside tire in a turn can be dealt with by the size of the stabilizer bar. If you have a rear bar that will also effect this along with the deflection in the bushings. There are some online suspension setup programs that might help but you will first need to figure your cars roll center. A change in the drop from 6" to 4" or 4.5" will effect your suspension and steering but without more information, how much is just a guess. Who knows, it may be better? If I understand what you're saying right your suspension and steering would seem to stiffen up with a shorter link due to less deflection but who knows?

EDIT: The links work the same as coil springs. When they are perpendicular to the frame they have a sine value factor of 1. The angle off of perpendicular will be a value less than one but there is also the unknown factor of the shorter length. Again, roll center is needed for that. This comes from the Chassis Engineering Handbook.

Yeah... you're getting a lot deeper than I intended to. I am aware of the different terminologies of these parts. They were first called end links in the mags when the Fox's were getting popular, and it stuck with me. Really, I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel or build a watch. I'm just going to try and match the angle it is on now when I drop it. That's really all I was searching for.

These are SN95 parts I am going to use, and an SN95 out handles a Fox and it came with a smaller sway bar (33mm Fox vs. 25mm SN95 Cobra and 30mm SN95 GT). I'm not slalom racing, I just don't want the body roll it has when there is no sway bar at all in there. I'm confident I'll achieve that.

Saw a truck running around town yesterday with a blueTrump2020 sticker on the drivers side rear window. The wifes side said "Trump 20 ----- to Life" with a picture of a jail cell. Politics makes strange bedfellows. LOL

Yeah, I kind of figured that. Just thought if your not happy with how it turns out I'd explain some ways to compensate without changing the link length.

Also since I wont be doing my exhaust till the truck is rebuilt... I needed a muffler for when I do drive it around for the next year or two. Decided to try out a Freiburger episode and go with a rumble muffler. Hopefully will have a video up soon. Heres the episode from engine masters. And pics of it installed on the truck. No clue why the PO welded in a cat but he did.

It's been a busy day... I got the Mustang out and took it for a shimmy. Boy-oh-boy have I missed driving it. Over the winter my hatch somehow developed a squeak that I need to remedy. Also got out the 'Goose and took it for a spin around the neighborhood. Definitely lost my bike riding stamina over the winter too. Also got all of the patio furniture out, and cleaned it all.
