I guess the light at end of tunnel is that its happening now before the weather gets real bad- hopefully we can slide(ha ha) through winter without any big probs!

I think they are looking for a scapegoat to hang a market correction on- the feds have been propping up the economy with low int. rates for how long now?- the common theme was that the economy is booming!- i sure didnt notice!-

Yeah... I am definitely not feeling a boom in my wallet economy.

In fact, the ACA is probably a good portion of why I don't feel that. What a giant turd that is.

Im a bit spoiled- i live in the city, about 400 ft from the main gate of my work- the streets usually are pretty well cleared, and i walk anyway! The shopping centers are only about 5 mi. down the main drag so im good!

Look what I managed to pick up tonight. 2004 Expedition with center jump seat seats. I gave $50 for them. These are the cloth with insert trim. They are grey, so I'll keep the console and paint it to match the dash. I'm going to try them as a direct bolt up, which I do believe is a go on this year to year set up. Once guy I know had to add washers on on side, but I'm thinking of just switching the seats to the original tracks. They have the same exact bolt up from the frame to seat.

Nice little crawler. A bit on the older side, but they work great. That has the little 2 cylinder popper in it right? Is it a dozer or loader? I used to sell parts for JD and Case as well as Allis Chalmers, Fiat Allis, Poclain, etc. I loved working in the parts departments for contruction and hd equipment. Less stress, unless a unit is down. Then the stress goes thru the roof. lol

I think I did. I've been looking for 04 seats for a while and these came up. Being it gets cold sometimes in the winter, I think the cloth will be a better fit for me. I have a pair of 3 position seat heater inserts, that I'll put in them while they are sitting on my floor tomorrow. I'm going to clean these, add the heaters, and remove them from the tracks and reinstall them on my bases. I'm going to install the switches into the side panels, while it's off when I install the heaters. This should make a rather sweet setup. And they are grey, so everything matches now. Score.

Yeah, little 2 cylinder- its a dozer, but manual tilt/angle- there is quite a story attached to this little machine- and a lot of sentimentality!
Short story- dad bought it as a basket case for me when i was in high school- a whole lot of what i learned turning wrenches was with dad on this dozer!-we restored it and i run it with intentions of making $- and i did, until the track rails wore out!- i told dad i was spending all my time putting the tracks back on, and i couldnt afford new rails, so just sell it- and he did- fast forward 30 some yrs. The feller that ended up with it wanted to sell it- dad wanted to know if i wanted it back- i said it would be nice, but no i dont have the extra $ for it- about 3 days later dad calls me up said he bought an old bulldozer!
The motor is rebuilt, the rails and drive sprockets are very good, but the rollers and brake bands needed replaced- we put bands in it this summer- next is the rollers- i plan on it being a retirement project someday. But dad putts around on it every once in while out on the property!
