Yep, it looks good on that '93. I assume your scoop will be painted white?

EDIT: Whoops. I guess there's been some conversatin' since I started that reply. Looks good on that 4-eye, AK. Looking forward to seeing it on yours, White. I'm not sure on the black, though.

On another note, I wonder what's with the link-ads all of a sudden.

Luckily no, he said someone in one of the units was working on getting a car started. They were using starting fluid, and somehow started both the car and their self on fire. I'm guessing the car backfired while it was starting. That's why I hate that stuff, LOL.

Probably going semi-gloss black.... similar to the New Edge Mach 1's. I'm hoping the paint shop has a code for that already, LOL.

I have noticed those links. They don't show up all the time for me though... kinda weird. I'd say about 50% of the time.

EDIT: I see you added some info, Ohio - LOL. I want it black to flow with the wiper cowl. That's how my Buddy's LX was, but it was all gloss.

Lol, I guess I'll never understand that, - offing the bed for FP R&R. It's so much more work. I guess it might be worth it if you can't get yourself up off the ground once your down. However, you still have to disconnect the harness for the tails lol.

Yea, a bunch of work for nothing. Siphoning the fuel from the tank is easy if need be, but you need a place to put it. That might be a hurdle for some. But hell, the tank comes right down. Hose the fittings down with WD 40 and everything disconnects with ease. Slide the tank out, remove the pump, then flush all the from the tank (they are all full of dirt lol). Put it back together....job done right.

Perhaps that guy was afraid of all that hair under the truck...that could make it challenging, who knows what made it's home in there lol.

Lifting the bed was actually really quick on my Ranger. I impacted 6 T55 bolts, 3 screws and unplugging the tail light harness. I had mine off in a matter of 5 minutes. I was also replacing the filler neck too, as they are a very common weak point on the Rangers.

Now the F150 beds are a lot heavier. There's no way I'd do it on my truck now.

I pulled the bed on my 99 to change the FP, dewalt impact took less then 10 min. My son and I lifted it no problem and I am 62 and can't left like I used to. I don't have a slab and would of had to put truck on jack stands to drop the tank. Not fun on grass.

When I pulled the bed when parting out my '99, I ended up drilling out all the bolt heads. I'm not sure how well the stubs would have come out. It would have taken awhile with the set of vice grips I would've had to use. Welding a nut on them might have allowed easier removal, but 1) I don't have a welder, and 2) I didn't care since I was getting rid of it.

I've pulled the bed as well, with new bolts and old when (working on rockers/cab corners periodically). I can say for certain you guys are high lol. No way 10 minutes. In short, there's just more to it for full a disconnect and separate. Must of slipped your minds....but it's all good lol.

Regardless, I can pull the tank in 8. There's a little know how, not much. Repetition helps.

LOL, have you ever pulled the bed on a Ranger, or just an F150?

It's really quite easy and quick....
