Thinking
I can do one better, Brew. I can jumper a connection and have the fuel pump run for as long as the key is on. I'm pretty sure I did that as a leak test when I completed the project, but I don;t recall how long I let it run. I might hook up the battery charger to the car and let the pump run for an hour or so and see what happens. Thanks for the idea.
Do you guys have any advice for chasing down a fuel odor? Since installing the fuel cooler in my Mustang with stainless overbraid lines, I catch a whiff of fuel after driving, and the whole garage reeks by morning. I see no drops or drops anywhere, so it must be evaporating right away. I've tried snuggling up the - AN fittings where the odor seems strongest, but no joy, and I don't want to crank on them too hard, because that can actually *cause* them to leak.
Ideas?
EDIT: P. S. Box arrived yesterday, JP. Thanks.

Yes, it is, but the odor does seem to be coming more from behind the headlight which joins the area behind the fender liner. I have a 180° fitting back at the firewall that I didn't consider. Could be seeping there, and the odor escaping up front.
You guys are giving me ideas!

AK, the canister *did* get soaked to some degree a couple years ago due to fuel heating, tank pressurizing, and fuel spitting out the filler neck, which was the whole reason for the cooler. The canister was removed and vented over a winter, and fortunately wasn't ruined. Should be fine still, but one more thing to check. Thanks.
I finished sheet rocking the laundry room this morning.... then had someone come do measurements to produce an estimate for mud and tape. Then I noticed an ad we got in the mail from the local furniture store said they have a Labor Day carpet sale at 50% off. I went over and looked at the carpet, and the sales lady said "just so you know, that was a misprint - the printing company was told 15% rather than 50%.... BUT, we are honoring the ad". HELL YES, LOL. I've got them coming over tomorrow to measure for carpet.
