MPGs!
I have an 01 Screw with 35-12.50's and 4" lift, gotts mod, straight thru muffler, K&N filter and new fan clutch and I'm lucky to get 200 miles on a full tank!!
You guys getting 300-400 either have real big tanks or your calculations are wrong, Ford trucks are notorious for bad gas mileage!

No not really 300/ 25 gallon tank is only 12 mpg pretty average most guys on here get about 14-15, your only getting 200 per tank because you have a lift, 35's and exhaust. You probably have a lead foot and I'm guessing you didnt take the time to re gear to at least 4.30's to get your mileage back... Oh and you have wide a** wheels too doesn't help with friction, more friction= worse gas mileage. One more thing get your speedo re calibrated for the larger tire

98 F250... 4.6L... ext cab... 4x4... 3.73 diff (I think)... stock tires...
24.5g tank... light comes on at about 21g...
recently drove it 900 hwy miles... averaged about 17 mpg (averaging 80 mph)
usually get about 280 m between fillups... or 13 mpg all city...
I had plug wires go bad about 2 months ago, first sign was a tank that only lasted about 150 miles, then check engine light came on and she started running REAL rough... replaced them... back to old reliable... however this winter, with snow, I'm only getting a touch over 200m pretty much all city driving (warmups and all).
will the later 36g tank fit in a 98?

Still new to us (only had it about a month)...
2001 2x4 XL Supercab, 4.6 automatic, ~139k miles...
Put 15 gallons in when the light came on, went ~250 miles before the light came on again, around 70% highway. ~16.6mpg which isn't bad. Seems to be getting 14-15 all around town. Need to take a road trip to really see what highway miles are like. So far doesn't seem much worse than the '95 Toyota T100 (3.4 V6 automatic) it replaced and certainly has a lot more hauling and towing capability.

I have the 25 gallon, and the reason I get 400 is cause I don't have 4 wheel drive. Truck is stock and the odometer is fine. When I bought it I had no reason for 4 wheel, now I'm back in Wisconsin I'm considering a trade
