I think I can make the actuator work. Just instead of having the solenoids controlled by the gem or PCM or whatever controls them I can just power them off a switch. So with the switch in the off position the 2wd solenoid would get power and with it in the on position the 4wd solenoid would get power. If that doesn't work then the pull cable system will

I have a manual transfer case so no shift motor to worry about

the nice thing about keeping it controlled separately is that you can put your truck in low range but keep the front axle disconnected so you have 2wd low, if you ever needed it.

I'm going to here soon, I need to get other things fixed first that are more important though.

I gotta fix my shift indicator since it's currently broken, I can't pass inspection with it not working. the white plastic piece broken on it and my inspection is due in August or September

baumann makes a trans controller that's comparable with E4OD 4R100 and 4R70, and then a few other ford transmissions and other brand transmissions. they seem to be pretty good quality controllers with good features and adjustability.

This is the one I was looking at

https://m.summitracing.com/parts/pma-pa99101

They also make a paddle shift kit that's compatible with that controller. MSD also makes a 4r70 controller I think
