So im thinking about going to the dark side, this CTS-V looks real tempting. Nothing like having luxury bolted to a 6.0L LS2 and T-56. I'm for sure gonna sell the Camry now that it runs again. Not sure what that means for the truck yet.

Won't hear any bickering from me. That's a sweet ride!

I love the 1st Gen CTSV's. Look into 07's if you have the coin.. Better all around.. Alot of the issues with the 04/05, and early 06's were fixed..

Similar but had nothing to do with the engine. Mostly was the the transmission and chassis issues.

2 people at my work have cts's. Of course they arent the cts-v but still, and they both arent too entirely impressed with them. Not as fancy as they seem i guess. Ive always wanted a cts-v so id be jelly.

I'm with you. I've recently been looking at getting a 04-06 Audi S4 as a DD. 340hp V8 with 6speeds and a AWD. What isnt there to love in that combo.

Yeah I've been thinking about an audi, but they change their engines every few years, and the engine design is way more complex than the pushrod ls2. Not to mention engine parts are way cheaper and more abundant on the ls2.

No doubt the audi is probably a better ride and interior is nicer. But im more power hungry than luxury hungry lol

I don't have much coin lol, but im trying to focus on a low mileage one, but yeah 06 or 07 would be preferred. The 04 & 05 use the ls6 motor instead. I was trying to research if the ls2 is preferred over the ls6.i know the 2 has more cubes, but seems there is no real reason to pick one motor over the other.
