Gotcha lol I'm just trying to get a good list together of what I'll be eventually getting and how much everything is gonna cost.

I really wanna go built and boosted 4v but my bank account doesn't lol

I'm not sure. I may call him later today and see if he still has them and would be willing to ship them. I also found a navigator with The 4v that a guy is parting out and he said in the add that 850$ takes the truck. I wonder how much he would sell just the engine for.

The thing is if I were doing it i would take the engine and change the pistons for more compression and call it a day. I would love to have right around 300 at the crank for towing. Carcrazy said 4v na heads aren't good for that so I'm back to thinking a fresh 2v with flat top pistons would be what I was looking for.

I would love to do a boosted 4v but I know it probably won't happen. I'm thinking I'll just end up doing a lightning swap with a forged lower end and some head work. Maybe push like 10-12 pounds of boost. But at the same time an NA build does sound cool lol.

I like the idea of a lightning swap but i end up in some rough places for work. I can see me putting a hole in a low hanging intercooler and being stuck in the middle of nowhere. Lol

You need more lift then lol its a never ending money trap

A HC build would be cool though I would like to see someone do that

Yes it would indeed. I need to get a build sheet drawn up so I know what I'm in for with a 20 over bore 2v 5.4 build.

get a NPI block and you'll have flat top Pistons won't you? I'm pretty sure both the NPI 2v and the 4v navis had flat tops didn't they?

If there was one close to me with lower miles I would definitely do that for a budget build.

Do you know off the top of your head what compression would be on an npi 5.4 vs a pi swapped 5.4? I am still wanting to try and run 91 octane and if I got flat tops on a pi motor it looks like compression would be past 11.
