I know it'll be more than an L swap, but I think it would be cool to do a turbo setup.

Any of yall done gears? I'm in the middle of putting some 4.56s In my 9.75. How does this pattern look? Maybe a little high? This is my first time doing it. The contact is pretty much dead center of the gear from heal to toe, I know it's supposed to be a little towards heal tho. Backlash is right at .008" and I'm not sure of pinion depth because I don't have a tool. But it's the stock shims plus one I forgot the size of it tho. Guess I should have wrote that down

Post Engine Swap

Hey guys, I'm new here, and I have a question regarding engine swaps. I have an 11th Gen F150 with the 5.4L Triton 3V. (The one with issues) I'm curious to see what all it would entail to swap it with the 12th Gen 5.4L? Also, will the bell housing bolt up to that newer engine? Can my current Transmission(4-speed Auto) be built to have a 6-speed Auto?

The 11th and 12th gen 5.4 are pretty much the same. They changed some things back in 08 to correct the cam phaser and spark plug issue tho. The 4.6, 5.0 coyote, 5.4 2, 3, and 4v all use the same bell housing. Not sure how much would go into a 6 speed auto swap. Probably custom transmission crossmembers and brackets, definitely custom drive shaft. Really not worth it. You can build your 4r75 to be pretty dam strong

Alright guys. Need your help. Probably going to grab a block tomorrow. It needs to be honed but overall it's a good deal. It lost pressure and ****ed the whole rotating assembly. So it's pi block and heads along with intake, oil pan, and probably injectors for $150 from a buddy of mine who is cleaning out his shop. He said engine had under 100k on it. I went and looked and you could still faintly see the cross hatching. My plan is to do a strong build capable of boost but probably won't have it right away, I would love to have a really nasty cam just because I love the choppy idle and think it would pair great with boost eventually. I was thinking I'm looking at ~$1600, am I correct? What's some good sites to buy from? What power numbers am I going to be looking at spending about that much? Pretty much guys is I need you to break it all down for me, not too sure on what I need or what I can make out of it being n/a to begin with.
