How do you like those fox Lake heads? Were they worth the money or would ported PI heads be a better bang for my buck?

Yes, both exhaust manifold gaskets need replacing drivers side worse..... I just dont have time to, this is what ive always thought it was

yup i did that, probally gonna put a brand bew intake on soon due to some coil packs being stripped out in it, are theyre any good high rise intakes or anything for our 5.4s?

stock truck intake is pretty much a high rise and as good as you're gonna get. as far as I know there aren't any aftermarket intake manifolds for the 5.4 besides the intake manifold for a lightning

Fox lake is ported pi heads, I sent them a set of heads to build and port and they told me I'd honestly be better off buying trickflows. Not the best sales strategy lol

I've never seen a bad head come out of Foxlake. That said, I'm still not sold on the trickflows. They have never delivered the numbers people claimed and the prices are Ludicrous. With the Tq we need from our trucks (to do truck things), modified stock PI heads are just fine with a good set of cams. Don't expect the moon with heads and cams, that's for sure.

35rwhp on pump gas is just enough Pep to feel but it's quickly forgotten.

Still, the bestbang for the buck NA is the thirsty 4v. start at 300fwhp, Get a set of cams for another 25rw and if you're really being cheeky, 03/04 heads for 15-20 more. Good Luck with long tubbes though, lol.

There used to be a guy on here with the username Neil and if I remember correctly Fox Lake sent him a set of heads with the wrong material valve Guides and valve guides shaved to match the head and one of the guides ended up breaking and working it's way into a cylinder. I know he ordered bronze valve guides I forgot what they sent him tho. That's the only other person I have read about with Fox lakes tho. Trick flows are stupid expensive and like you side not worth it. I would love to do a 4v just that price tag is ridiculous lol. If I did it tho I would probably get some adapter plates made and either run a blower system for a coyote or a lightning blower. I know here are a few guys with the boss intake on their 4v, but NA of course.

Dorman is just a stock intake with improved gaskets and coolant crossover lol. I have one on my truck since the stocker took a ****.

Oh lol I feel dumb now lol I thought fox Lake was completely aftermarket not just ported, but I haven't done hardly any research on them. How much do they cost?
