Yep, exactly. When I originally did the Gotts mod, I had to actually cut part of that rubber piece to fill in the gap. You can see the difference of before and after.

Before

After

Roughly 2 5/8"

Roughly 3 3/8"

Well if you get that set, you won't believe how well it's built. That box is heavy duty and has a larger opening at the fender. The only reason I'm not running is because I haven't put the time into finding a good dry element for it. The box is built like a tank. A heavy composite that wont break or wear out. It's polished inside, like the tube is.

I've ran for year or so, -

It definitely looks quality! I just don't know if I wanna pay 220 for more or less an intake tube lol. My goal is 300 crank horse power. So maybe with the injectors, this intake, tune, efans, exhaust, and maybe a P&P intake from a 99, and maybe even a 80 mm throttle body if I can get it for cheap, I wonder if it is achievable. I would like to get as much as I can without cracking open the block

my trucks a 97.

I'm 99% sure I've got the larger one on mine because there wasn't all that much of a difference in the inlet size of the plastic filter housing and the size of the tube I had going into the fender, which was a 3" diameter piece of pipe.

edit: actually, I might have the smaller one. I'll have to go measure it to be sure.

Just got an email from MPT about the injectors. Sounds like they don't really recommend them, and it would be pointless with the mods I have. But, is there anything I can do bolt on wise that would call for the larger injectors?

I'm a little late to this conversation, but I can tell you that the factory fuel pressure of 39 psi, the OEM 19 lb. injectors are good to about 260 horsepower at an 85% duty cycle, which is pretty optimal as a duty cycle. The next step is the 24 lb. which are good to about 325 horsepower at an 85% duty cycle.

You also need to match the MAF to the injectors either with a newly programmed sensor, or a tune.
