Engine Builders talk.
A coyote will bolt right up to the factory 5.4 engine mounts and the 4r70W that is already in most of these trucks. That transmission is capable of holding 600hp with a little work so there would be no need to mess with changing crossmembers, drive lines, or shifter setups. All you would need is a stand alone teams controller.
Really the only thing holding me back is trying to figure out what all is interconnected to the 5.4 computer in the cab that is want to retain. Like 4x4, and A/C. I'm really not that well versed as to how everything interconnects or if it's possible to just isolate the engine wiring, remove it, and replace it, without having any effect on any other system in the truck.

Not sure, I'm not familiar. What does the controller control ?
I'm just not sure what factory systems are all intertwined, I don't want to remove the ECU and have issues with PATS or the GEM and get locked down or have A/C or 4x4 stop working
The 5.0 and he trans both have stand alone harnesses that just need power to run. That part and the actual install and plumbing is simple.
