Most likley , before you can make head or tails from this, you'll have to pull the entire inside of the factory box apart where the MAF is located. It will be self explanatory then.
That doesn't look to hard to do. I'll probably end up doing that this summer

you could call and say you want to order a new tube because you cracked yours or something. Not try to get one for free but I'm sure they'll sell you one

I may try that. I wish I had a pic of it I saw a picture of this "cold air intake" for our trucks that moved the MAF to right in front of the throttle body and then it just had a filter right there in front of the throttle body lol. I can't believe some of the stuff companies make that are "good for your vehicle"

What year is your truck? The 97's and maybe 98's had a smaller snorkel going into the filter housing. I upgraded to the larger one on mine.

I know someone who did that on a red 2wd 4.6L...Well, the filter was directly in front of the intake as well. Connecting it up w/4-6" intake coupler. So he was sucking radiator heat through the intake lol.

Wow, I have the larger one as well. That small one looks tiny.

I've seen those before though. They slip into a plastic sleeve that fits in the fender. My daughter had a 4.2L with one that small on it. I remembered it seeing that little bump on the end of the filter housing in the pic. That's what holds the two pieces together.
