I just don't think there's been anybody with the want to do it. Everybody just gravitates to the Lightning swap, which is fine, but you get close to the same amount of power out of the box, with room to grow, all naturally aspirated.

I'm surprised since it's supposedly easier than a PI swap.

With as old as these trucks are and with all of its other limitations, the Coyote swap doesn't have much appeal compared to a lightning swap. Lightning swaps can be much cheaper. I think since so few owners can afford to mod at this level it's probably obvious that even fewer want to be the guinea pig for a completely new engine.

I imagine a few interested enough with resources have contemplated. Hell, BrowningSCrew is ready to tear it hole lol.

I'd love to swap a cammed 5.0 in my truck. The truck engines used are actually quite reasonable. It would be hard to keep the factory pcm and pats. Everything in our gen trucks can be run standalone.

I've seen plenty of people do it in mustangs, just no F150's. It's the same concept, just a different application. If it can be done to an SN95, it can be done to the 10th Gen F150. They are same in every way that matters.

New gauges, some wiring, ignition, trans and engine controllers, electric fans, exhaust.

A crate motor is $6900, engine controller is $1700, I don't know the Trans controller price and then add in $2000 for exhaust work, guages. It can't be much harder than that.

In like Flynn.

I think a low mileage 5.0 would lend tons of value to the truck and the build. If we were to compare it to a "GOOD" lighting build, we've got $2,500-3,000 for the blower and up to $10k for a well build, strong longblock tuned.

My buddy is making 680rw with a stock Coyote with & blower so I think they handle the power just as well, if not better than Terminators.

We'd just have to deal with the Fab, the headaches and downtime. I'm not sure I have that kinds of patience anymore.
