This thread is dead guys! Odd question but if anyone knows it'll be one of you folks. Is there any formula to get estimated 1/8 and 1/4 times based on weight, tires, hp and gears?

wouldn't suspension tuning and setup play a big part in the ability to reach those distances at specified times??

I know suspension tuning plays a huge part in how fast road course cars can get around their courses.

It doesn't play in near as much as a course race lol. You can take turns at faster speeds in a lambo vs a 1500 hp diesel even if the diesel kills it on the strip.

I know some guys estimate hp off of runs so figured there was a kind of reverse method

I'm not talking about handling per se, but the stiffness or softness of the ride, etc

It's not so much about ride as it is traction. All the HP in the world doesn't mean anything if you can't get if to the ground

I think my 6.4 would run better than the 6.9 it does 0-60 but it just won't hook off the launch. It always spins when I let off the brake. I'm sure it would help to launch in 4hi but I really don't trust 4x4 boost launches in something I need to keep together to drive every day.
