Machine shop said I had a bad freeze plug that was running down there and looking to come out of the head. He re-tested it and said it tested fine the second time.

Heading to pick it up tomorrow and begin reassembly.

gauges
fuel pump
heat exchanger
IC pump


Still need a waterpump, throttle cable, spark plugs and intake gaskets.

Thought you had all the freeze plugs replaced. I dont see why it would leak between the deck and the head deck.

Yeah I told him that. He ended up resurfacing the head as well and said it held pressure. Guess we will find out...

I think it was a messed up surface. Also pickup a can of the Ultra copper aerosol spray. It will dramatically help the Cometics seal up around the coolant jackets.

Anywhere special to get it or just any parts store? never heard of it until you mentioned it.

Any part store should carry it. Its just Ultra Copper in a aerosol can.

I've alway sworn by ultra copper. I've never blown a head gasket on any engine I've built. Sucked a few valves and blew a few rods to hell but never a head gasket, lol.

I always use copper spray.
