Def wouldn't be putting in a 6.2 with that amount.

really you don't think so? I bet you could do a 6.2 swap for round 20 or less depending on how much is on the motor and trans

You people wanting 5.0 coyotes,6.2s and everything else under the sun,I just want a 99-03 with a 460.
I talked to a guy on fb that did it,he said it was extremely easy to swap and they even sell the mounts for it,so there isn't much fab work. He went with a carb'd 460.

Not a very practical daily driver option in comparison.

This is like a toy store though, this section is more about wants than needs lol. If you're swapping from one era of motor to another you better have something else to dd anyways, that's a lot of time and work to get things right!

But my whole intent to swap a motor in my 10th gen would be to gain power while maintaining the fuel efficiency of a newer engine.

Yeah and it'll be sweet too,but for me I already have a 5.4 and that's modern enough for a dd for me. Now I need a nice, loud, rumbling 460 to compliment the 5.4 lol. I'm considering starting a side business at the end of the summer,if I do that a new build is out of question for awhile but if it falls through around the end of summer I'm going to start looking for a truck with a bad motor or trans.

A 460 in a 10th gem sounds bad ***. I think if you're willing to go through with it I'd definitely be interested in watching you through that build. And I'd be anxious to hear the thing and all that. I personally think it would be bad ***, I wouldn't mind having one myself except it would need to be fuel injected.

I was thinking the same thing on fuel injected, honestly when/if it happens I'm going the route that will make the most power for the least money since, well,I'm gonna blow it up. That's the name of the game, build it,break it,build it better and repeat. I've been researching and talking to a couple people it shouldn't be hard at all,I haven't started to look at the trans situation though. Not sure what has to be done to put a c6 under it,but we'll cross that bridge when I have the cash to back it. I have a couple bills I want paid off before I start really getting into it,I'll get the truck before then if I find a good one but motor, axles etc will wait. My last bill will be paid off in a year
